JOB SUMMARY: Providing life changing support to vulnerable residents
in the Salvation Army?s new **Apply on the website** unit Homeless
Centre in Coolock, Dublin. Helping homeless families secure a
permanent residence through the established HAP process, you will
provide a vital role in changing the lives of those most in need.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: As a motivated and dynamic Support Worker you
will be responsible for ensuring successful client outcomes of
moving-on to permanent accommodation which demonstrate quality and
effectiveness in all aspects of the programme. Understanding and
working to ensure the achievement of the contractual objectives and
targets of the service, you will work with the team to demonstrate the
development of service delivery in line with organisation and
legislative requirements.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE: A positive
attitude, high levels of motivation and experience of supporting
vulnerable clients to achieve focused and positive life outcomes
within a recovery focused setting. You will ensure successful client
outcomes which demonstrate quality and effectiveness in all aspects of
the programme and the ability to own workload and caseloads, showing
good time management skills and the ability to take the lead at
meetings with external agencies. Able to work within the Christian
ethos of The Salvation Army, you will be able to demonstrate good
verbal and written communication, IT, people management and team
management skills.
SPECIFIC TASKS OF THE ROLE:
* Maintaining and developing day to day office duties and providing
administrative support
* Providing front of house support and reception duties, monitoring
visitors, telephone calls and other communication to and from the
service
* Maintaining and developing programme records
* Collation of statistics and data input
* Promoting client choice and control at all times by working within
a personalised and client-directed support service where this is a
part of the service delivery model.
* Assisting with the delivery of support to clients, ensuring
policies and procedures, license agreements, codes of conduct and
in-house rules are understood and adhered to at all times.
* Assisting with the delivery of client meetings and other client
participation methods
* Working with clients as part of person centred support planning
which includes providing assistance to access a range of meaningful
activities either in-house or in the community to ensure successful
client outcomes
* Work with clients as part of the Support Team assisting to ensure
the care plans needs and actions within person centred support/risk
management plans are addressed in a timely, professional and
appropriate manner.
* Working as part of the Support Team to assist with sourcing and
facilitating planned move on options for clients where appropriate.
